Digital influencer Nana Owiti has opened up about why many people struggle to recognise opportunities in their everyday lives, urging her followers to shift their perspective.
In an Instagram video posted on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, Owiti explained that the issue is rarely a lack of opportunities.
Instead, she said, the real problem lies in people's inability to identify them when they appear. According to her, many individuals continuously pray and hope for life-changing breaks, but they expect these opportunities to arrive clearly labelled and perfectly timed.
"Many of us keep asking God for opportunities, but we expect them to come labelled," she said. "We pray for perfect timing, clear paths, and obvious signs, but life rarely works that way."
She noted that this mindset often results in frustration and missed chances because people overlook what is already in front of them.
Owiti emphasised that opportunities frequently come disguised as inconveniences, delays, or ordinary responsibilities.
At times, she said, they show up as tasks that feel insignificant or situations that seem beneath one's ambitions.
"They are disguised as inconveniences, as challenges, and as moments we might overlook," she explained.
Rather than waiting for ideal conditions, Owiti encouraged people to develop the ability to recognise potential in everyday experiences.
She described discernment as a powerful tool for both personal and professional growth.
According to the influencer, success is often determined by the ability to see beyond surface-level obstacles, identify hidden value, and take action before the moment passes.
"It's not about waiting for the perfect moment; it's about seeing the value in what's already around you," Owiti added.
