Instagram star Naserianne Sintako is sharing her story of a close call during a fuel tanker explosion on Nairobi's Southern Bypass.

Sintako said she and her friends were driving on the bypass on Saturday, January 24, when they narrowly avoided a disaster.

A fuel tanker flipped over close to Ram Residency and exploded, killing the driver and destroying at least five cars.

Sintako said they had just driven through the underpass right before the tanker crashed.

She posted on Instagram that the explosion sent thick, black smoke into the air. People in cars started running, and emergency teams had to shut down the road for a while.

She wrote that she was very thankful to be alive. "God saved us. We passed the tunnel, then seconds later, a truck toppled and went up in flames. I'm praying for the families nearby," she said.

Sintako also shared a video from above that showed how big the fire was.

Her post got a lot of attention, with people feeling sorry for those who were hurt and relieved for those who got away.

The tanker driver, named Hussein Aliou, was 55 years old. Officials said that some cars were completely destroyed in the fire.

Sintako's story got a big reaction from her followers, reminding people how risky the roads in Nairobi can be.

A lot of people thanked her for talking about road safety and joined her in praying for the victims and their families.

Her near-death experience is a strong reminder that things can change fast on busy roads. For Sintako, it made her think about how short life can be and how important it is to be grateful.
